The wonders of nature on the island are endless, and we work passionately to share them with you in all our handcrafted spirits. Aoratos Gin features ten botanicals from Cyprus including Juniper berries (locally known as Aoratos), Coriander seed, Angelica root, Nettle leaves, Iron wort, Sage, Rosemary and more!
| Tasting Notes | Nose: Surprisingly warm and fresh. The juniper is surrounded by rosemary and the almost musky smell of sage. Taste: A very smooth few first seconds give way to an explosion of warm almost umami-like flavors of the Cypriot botanicals. Fresh citrus harmonizes with the sun-dried herbs, while the juniper perfectly combines with the more iron-like taste of the iron-wort. The result is like a walk through the mountains on a hot day, feet firmly on the rich mineral grounds, nose delighted by the warmed-up spices. Finish: Long and hearty. The juniper and iron-wort stay on the tongue for some time, while the citrus slowly sinks to the background. |
